I always wanted to be an artist. When I was a kid I was always drawing (horses, mostly), or building models or reading books and dreaming wild creative things. I wanted to go to art school, but that didn't work out. I ended up studying computer programming at a public university. Programming can be creative, too; writing code is like solving a big puzzle. But I still felt like I was missing something, lacking creativity in my life...
I've since realized that it's all a matter of perspective. When you focus on what you lack, it just makes you miserable and depressed. The flip side, however, is a fantastic thing: when you focus on what you do have, become aware of it, be grateful for it... then joy and happiness will be yours.
So, while I'm not an artist by career, I love creative things. I love to take photos. I enjoy writing. Sometimes I draw or paint or sculpt things. Often I'm making art for my iPhone games, which lets me combine my love of art and programming. This blog will showcase some or all of those things. :)
